[Let me tell you] GyuYeol - "rich man and long leg man" couple of Infinite

To those who don't care much of I7 or who just know a little, this couple basically includes an intelligent man who knows everything and a primary student who is extremely stupid. Only us, who have been following I7, know their real nature.

In fact, Sungyeol always cracks jokes regardless of his image, which makes other members "vanish under ground" immediately. In the show This Is Infinite, Sungyeol said that his boss (Lee Jungyeop) had been deceived by his appearance. Boss Yeop could never have realized that behind such a handsome face, Sungyeol is a boy who still wishes to have a pet monkey and to have said monkey do his chores. He is also willing to have a debate with a couple elementary students about this wish just to have to admit defeat in the end. Similarly, Sunggyu said that he had seen Sungyeol fighting against elementary students on the road. He is such a very childlike man.

According to Sunggyu, Sungyeol is the most disobedient member in I7, but I don't think so. I still remember once in Showtime when Sunggyu yelled at Sungyeol not to laugh, Sungyeol transformed into an intelligent man immediately. In fact, Sungyeol always listen to his leader, perhaps because of his infantile behavior that makes Sunggyu have that feeling.

Sunggyu continuously teases Sungyeol using his own way. Taking advantage of times when Sungyeol was away, Sunggyu used his brother's salary to 'benefit' himself. However, Sungyeol also retaliated by making his leader wash dishes. Likewise, when Sungyeol had to wash dishes, Sunggyu was the one who 'provoked' him constantly.

Are they love each other?

Of course yes. In Showtime, Sunggyu showed his gratitude to Sungyeol for always inquiring after him. Sunggyu used to say that if the end of the Earth came one day and only Infinite was alive, Sungyeol would be the last one to survive till the end. Sungyeol is a kind person, the more he gives, the more he receives.

Sunggyu also mentioned that Sungyeol was always willing to give away everything he had without asking for anything in return, that he believed all of Sungyeol’s kindness will be repaid in the future and that Sungyeol was such a simple person that he could take in everybody’s negative emotions as easy as get rid of them.                          

In addition, Sunggyu promised Yeol that if he didn’t have a girlfriend he would travel to London with Sungyeol. I can’t quote exactly what he said, but I’m sure that was the most affectionate thing Sunggyu had said when he talked about his naughty choding brother.

Recently was Infinite’s 6 year anniversary, it was surprising that Sunggyu thanked Sungyeol’s pet dog Aga but not Sungyeol himself for having always been with Sungyeol whenever he felt tired and listened to him when he needed someone to confide in. Sunggyu did not elaborate on why he did that but personally, I think it was because seeing Sungyeol have Aga for a friend, Sunggyu could worry less about his brother. And that is the reason why he could say “thank you” to a puppy publicly without any hesitation.

More often than not, GyuYeol would separate from the group and hang out with each other. A friend of mine said: “I just hope Gyu isn’t spoiled by the brat”. Please don’t think bad of her yet, she’s a Yeol bias after all. To me, what she said was really funny. What if one day, Sunggyu becomes as naughty as Sungyeol and Sungyeol is a serious but still cute guy like Sunggyu. We never know. I know that when that day comes, our whole world will change with them.

Up to now, they still torment each other endlessly. All shocking speeches of Sungyeol are still headaches to Sunggyu and Sungyeol is still made surprised whenever he hear about his salary is contributed to somewhere he doesn't know, as well. As I said, their story is infinite. However, besides this, there's still a younger brother who always takes care of his leader and considers this as an obvious thing and vice[.]. GyuYeol is originally like this, and so in future. Sungyeol will always be a "solid shoulder" for Sunggyu to lean on and to doze whenever he feels tired at the airport. As well as Sunggyu, he will be Sungyeol' bank as he said to Sungyeol: "Just travel, I'll give you money", also, he will be the person whom Sungyeol can comfortably show his childish behaviors to, even that annoys Sunggyu many times ^^

Do you ever hope for one day that these two persons swap personalities for each other? I absolutely do! It will be very interesting ^^
